Vacation Flashback

So this week has been back to the daily grind and needless to say it's been a tough transition. The good news is that I really like my job and the people I work with - the downside is that I haven't had more than a minute at home to clean, blog, unpack or reorganize my life - all in good time though I presume. In the meantime I've thrown together this flashback post so I might grab some time to unpack :p

Starting with Niagara Falls - Enjoy! (More after the jump)

The American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls

We stayed on the Canadian side during our trip which I strongly suggest everyone do. You get a MUCH better view of all of the falls and you can actually see the Horseshoe Falls which are easily the most incredible. The downside of the whole falls experience is that it has obviously become EXTREMELY touristy and there are tons of people, casinos and over the top "atlantic city" style streets but if you stay as close to the falls as you can you can try to ignore the rest.

There are a ton of attractions and different ways to see the falls on both sides of the river but a must do is the Maid of the Mist or Hornblower cruise (depending on which side). Be warned however - it's wet.

The White Water Rapids

Another must was walking across the border via the Rainbow bridge - for just 50c and a passport inspection you can walk from Canada to America (or vice versa) and see the falls from even more angles! It also allowed us to partake in some of the American attractions such as the Cave of the Winds (which was freaking awesome).

Overall it was an awesome vacation and a phenomenal work of nature that everyone should try to see at some point.

Let me know if you have any travel questions about the falls - I'm happy to pass along my tips and tricks!
